Chime explained that it is inevitable for any serious government not to step on many toes but pleaded with those he may have offended to show understanding by forgiving him.

“We cannot change the society without stepping on toes, every serious government must take necessary measures to correct the wrongs in the society, if not we will not have the new environment we are enjoying in Enugu today."

The governor said he was pleased that the people of the state recognised and appreciated the successes his administration achieved within the span of 8 years.

He called on the people of the state to pray for the incoming administration of Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, his successor. Chime also asked them to brace up for challenges ahead citing, the dwindling allocations from the Federal Government as pointer to this.
