The Nigerian military have ordered a 24-hour curfew imposed on the Borno state capital, Maiduguri, following a  Boko Haram attack on the town yesterday night.

Though the attacks on the Giwa Barracks of the 7th Division of the  Nigerian army in Maiduguri were repelled, the military has decided to impose a 24-hour curfew on the state capital.

An army spokesman of the 7th Division, Tukur Gusau, revealed the development in a statement.
