Heartbreaking Photos: Massive Earthquake Hits Nepal

Nepal has been hit by a magnitude-7.8 earthquake.

According to reports, this is the worst quake to have ever hit the Himalayan nation in over 80 years. Rescue teams have reached the area and are searching for survivors. A police spokesman made it known that the death toll has reached 449.

Reuters reports that the injured are being treated outside hospitals in chaotic scenes. Residents, terrorized by a series of strong aftershocks, huddled outdoors as historic buildings in Kathmandu lay in rubble on the ground.
