Governor Fayose Reveals He Goes To Beer Parlours

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, while defending the introduction of “stomach infrastructure” by his government reveals he goes to the beer parlour every Friday. 

Governor Fayose made this revelation on Thursday  while speaking with journalists in Abuja .

The governor who gave his reason for going to the beer parlour on Fridays was in order to enable him to get close to the common man in the state, hence his reason for the introduction of stomach infrastructure which does not mean only sharing of food and money to the people.

“I also go to beer parlour on Friday to stay with the common men there. Governance is not church;  it is about diverse characters and you must relate with them as such.

“Christmas is coming. Why do people go out of their ways to be shopping or doing other things if it is not just to make  people merry?

“So, I’m grooming chicken, buying rice, yams, plantain, and the rest of them. I am sure if I give it to families during the festive period, they will be happy. So, stomach infrastructure is a way of life.”

“So, my style without apology is that stomach infrastructure is a way of life for me, I will relate well with my people to alleviate poverty and hunger,” Fayose said.

Meanwhile Governor Fayose has said he set up a department for stomach infrastructure and also appointed a special assistant and a personal assistant on it.

Ayodele Fayose was governor of Ekiti state from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006 when he was impeached. He, however won the Ekiti Governship election in June 2014, defeating the incumbent governor, Kayode Fayemi.

On October 16, 2014, Fayose was inaugurated into office, in Ado-Ekiti.

Recall, recently, Governor Fayose had accused the ex-governor, Kayode Fayose of leaving Ekiti state with a debt of  86 billion naira.
