Bomb Blast Rocks Bauchi Bus Station, 10 Dead
A bomb blast has been reported to have occurred in a popular bus station in Azare area of Bauchi State, leaving at least 10 people dead.
Vanguard reports that the blast appears to be the latest breach in the alleged ceasefire agreement entered with the terrorists group, Boko Haram.

A resident of the town, who gave his name as Musa Babale, said: “We had a huge blast at exactly 9:45 pm (20:45 GMT). We realised it had come from the bus station. The whole place was a mess,” he said.
However, several calls made to the spokesman of the police and military for comments were not answered but Mauzu Ibrahim, another resident of the attacked area near the Kano road revealed that security operatives have cordoned off the scene.
“We found the place cordoned off by soldiers and police. From where I stood I saw bodies being put in a van,” Ibrahim said.

Other witnesses also reported seeing casualties but it was not immediately possible to estimate the number and emergency workers were not available to comment on the incident.
However, the cause of the blast remains unknown as at press time though the state has remained one of the worse hit areas by the blood thirsty terrorists group, Boko Haram.
Azare is reportedly about 200 kilometres (125 miles) from the state capital Bauchi city.
Meanwhile, PMnews reported on Thursday that five people were killed in the blast while 12 others sustained various degrees of injuries based on confirmation from the state police command spokesman, Mohammed Haruna.

“At about 9:45 pm (2045 GMT Wednesday) there was a bomb blast at (a) motor park roundabout in Azare town. Five persons burnt beyond recognition were certified dead, while twelve others sustained various degrees of injury,” Haruna said.
According to Sahara Reporters, the blast killed about 10 persons and left several others seriously injured with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
It added that police investigators said they are yet to confirm if it was a suicide bombing or a timed explosive device that was planted in the bus station. The bodies of the deceased and injured have been taken to a local hospital in the area.
It would be recalled that the sect claimed responsibility for the twin car bombings at a bus station on the outskirts of the capital Abuja earlier this year in their five years uprising.
Aside this recent bomb blast, violence raged through the weekend in the troubled northeast states, bringing to fore the credibility of Boko Haram negotiator over the alleged ceasefire deal with the Nigerian government.
The Nigerian government on Friday, October 17, 2014, announced a ceasefire deal allegedly entered with the terrorists group, Boko Haram, but following increased attacks this week, the pact has started raising lots of questions.
There might be a possibility that it is a factional group that is carrying out these bloody attacks as it was earlier reported that the alleged ceasefire deal split the sect members.
